22 year old Christoph Croise has been awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld International Cello Competition
HARBIN ― 22 year old Christoph Croise, from France has been awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld International Cello Competition, in Harbin, China.
A student Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt at the Berlin University of Arts, Christoph is a former 1st prize winner at the Brahms International Cello Competition and the International Manhattan Music Competition.
2nd prize was awarded to 22 year old Eunghee Cho, from the United States.
Joint-3rd prize was awarded to 16 year old Luca Giovannini, from Italy and 27 year old Mo Mo, from China.
4th prize was awarded to 23 year old Eun Cho, from South Korea.
5th prize was awarded to 25 year old Minji Kim, from South Korea/United States.
The special prize for the 'Best performance of this year's set work Cantonese Capriccio No. 2, by Damin Ren' was awarded to Eunghee Cho, from the United States.

This year’s jury comprised: Alice Shoenfeld (Founder), Suli Xue (Artistic Director), Shlomo Mintz (Violin Jury Chair), Lynn Harrell (Cello Jury Chair), Sergey Antonov, Jindong Cai, Christopher Costanza, David Grimal, Judith Ingolfsson, Josephine Knight, Martti Rousi, Zhongguo Sheng, Kirill Troussov, Marianna Vasileva and Daniel Veis.
