The Palm Beach Symphony, in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States has this week announced the appointment of conductor Gerard Schwarz as its new Music Director - effective from September of this year.
Maestro Schwartz has previously served as Music Director of the Seattle Symphony, Mostly Mozart Festival, the New York Chamber Symphony - and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
In addition to the music directorship, the 71-year-old will also join the teaching faculty of the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
