Deutsche Grammophon has today announced the signing of 15 year old Swedish VC ‘Rising Star’ Daniel Lozakovich to an exclusive 'long-term' recording deal.
Daniel, the youngest musician currently signed to the yellow label, will open his association by recording two orchestral albums and a recital disc - the Beethoven’s Violin Concerto set to be among his first releases.
‘Daniel displays all the attributes, the inordinate talent and the necessary dedication to achieve the kind of inspired classical music performance which is the hallmark of each and every musician at home on Deutsche Grammophon’s roster, both past and present,’ Deutsche Grammophon President Dr Clemens Trautmann has said.
A student of Professor Josef Rissin at the Karlsruhe University of Music, Daniel is a former major prize winner at the Andrea Postacchini and Menuhin International Violin Competitions - and was recently awarded 1st prize at the inaugural Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition.
He now follows in the footsteps of virtuosi, Anne-Sophie Mutter and David Garrett who first signed contracts with DG at the ages of 15 and 13.
