Hong Kong Philharmonic Extends Music Director Jaap van Zweden To 2024

The Hong Kong Philharmonic has announced the contract extension of Music Director Jaap van Zweden – through until 2024

The Hong Kong Philharmonic has this week announced the contract extension of Music Director Jaap van Zweden – through until the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.

He currently additionally serves as the Music Director of the New York Philharmonic and the Royal Flemish Philharmonic.

“When I was asked to extend my Music Director tenure with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, I was very happy to do so by two more years ..." Jaap van Zweden has this week said.

"I am very proud of the work we have done together ... we look forward to continuing to scale new heights in the years ahead,” he has said.
