VC Young Artist Kerson Leong Appointed Orchestre Métropolitain’s New Artist-in-Residence

It has been announced today that 21 year old Canadian violinist, VC Young Artist Kerson Leong has been appointed as the Montreal-based Orchestre Métropolitain's new Artist-in-Residence - for the 2018-2019 season.
In his new role, Kerson will make a number of appearances with the ensemble - including concerto performances under the batons of Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and guest conductor Kensho Watanabe.
"Yannick Nezet-Seguin is one of my absolute favourite maestros conducting today, so it is a great honour and thrill that he has invited me to be the OM artist-in-residence next season ... " the former Junior Menuhin Competition 1st prize winner has told The Violin Channel.
"Our first collaboration last year and my many previous appearances with the OM bring back wonderful musical memories ... I'm so looking forward to performing pieces such as Bartok 1st and Korngold concertos with Maestro Yannick and Maestro Kensho Watanabe," he has said.
