Opera Director Elijah Moshinsky has Died of Covid-19, Age 75

A graduate of University of Melbourne and Oxford's St. Antony's College, he worked closely and often with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and Opera Australia

Especially known for his interpretations of Verdi, Moshinsky also directed theatre and television.

He also led the Metropolitan Opera, English National Opera, La Scala, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Welsh National Opera, and Scottish Opera.

In February 2019, he was awarded Opera Australia’s highest honor, the Opera Australia Trophy.
