Sony Classical announced the release of Austrian violinist Christoph Koncz' new album, "Mozart's Violin: The Complete Violin Concertos."

"It was like an awakening experience when I first held Mozart's own concert violin in my own hands," Christoph told The Violin Channel this week.

"This beautifully preserved Baroque violin is the instrument on which Mozart had played during his Salzburg years when he composed his five violin concertos and the experience left me deeply inspired to record these works on this extraordinary instrument, for the first time. Through Mozart's actual instrument, we were striving to come as close as possible to his personal sound conception.''
