Conductor Peter Oundjian Appointed Music Director of Yale Philharmonia

The Yale School of Music has today announced Canadian-born violinist and conductor Peter Oundjian as the new Principal Conductor of the Yale Philharmonia.
Maestro Oundjian, 60, held the position of 1st violinist with the Tokyo String Quartet for 14 years - and currently serves as Music Director with the Toronto Symphony and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
He has served as an adjunct Professor at the School since 1981.
