Japan Philharmonic Upgrades Pietari Inkinen to New Chief Conductor

The Japan Philharmonic has today announced 34 year old Finnish conductor, Pietari Inkinen as their new Chief Conductor.
A graduate of the Sibelius Academy and the Hochschule für Musik Köln, where he studied violin with Professor Zakhar Bron, Pietari currently serves as Chief Conductor of the Ludwigsburg Schlossfestspiele, Music Director of the New Zealand Symphony and Chief Conductor of the Prague Symphony.
He had served as Principal Guest Conductor with the orchestra since 2009.
