Spanish conductor Juan José Olives has passed away - following a long illness

Spanish conductor Juan José Olives has passed away - following a long illness.

A graduate of the Barcelona Conservatory and the Vienna Hochschule für Musik, throughout his career Maestro Olives served Principal Conducting positions with the Zaragoza Chamber Orchestra, Tenerife Symphony, Asturias Symphony, Romanian Radio Orchestra and the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony - and held a long term teaching position on faculty at the Aragon Conservatory of Music.
