VC Artist Diana Adamyan Performs Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto
Diana has shared the video of her performing the concerto with the Armenian State Symphony and conductor Sergey Smbatyan
This year, VC Artist Diana Adamyan performed Tchaikovsky’s much-loved Violin Concerto in D major with the Armenian State Symphony and conductor Sergey Smbatyan.
Held at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, Diana’s performance was followed by Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 10 on the program.
“Always a pleasure reuniting with one of Armenia’s leading violinists, the talented and young player Diana Adamyan, who won the prestigious Menuhin Competition as well as the Khachaturian International Competition,” Smbatyan posted on Facebook. “She played with us Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto back in April to great success!”

Since winning first prize at the 2018 Menuhin Competition and the Khachaturian International Competition, Diana has since appeared with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Seiji Ozawa Academy, Aspen Festival, and the Matsumoto International Music Festival.
Other engagements have included those with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Bruckner Orchestra Linz, Göttinger Symphonieorchester, Uppsala Chamber Orchestra, Niederbayerische Philharmonie, Staatsorchester Darmstadt, and the Boston Pops Orchestra, plus recitals in Tokyo and France.
A graduate of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and the NAC Summer Music School, Diana studied with Petros Haykazyan, Ana Chumachenco, Pinchas Zukerman, and Leonidas Kavakos.
Also under the patronage of the Armenian General Benevolent Union and Boston’s YerazArt foundation, she recently joined the roster of Askonas Holt management.
Diana performs on a 1760 Nicolò Gagliano violin, generously on loan from the Henri Moerel Foundation.
