We’re coming to you from An Appalachian Summer Music Festival in Boone, North Carolina for a LIVE concert with VC Artist violinist Tessa Lark and bassist Michael Thurber.
A graduate of the New England Conservatory and The Juilliard School, Tessa is a former major prize winner at the Indianapolis, Michael Hill, and Naumburg International Violin Competitions. She is a past recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and Leonore Annenberg and Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowships.

Michael Thurber holds an impressively diverse résumé, which ranges from composing for The Royal Shakespeare Company and co-founding the popular YouTube channel CDZA, to playing bass in the house band on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. His music has been performed by several orchestras around the United States, including The Louisville Orchestra, The Williamsburg Symphony, and The Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra.
