We’re coming to you from the 2021 Bowdoin International Music Festival for a concert with VC Artist Dover Quartet.
Described by The New Yorker as "the young American string quartet of the moment," the Dover Quartet rose to international stardom in 2013 after receiving every prize at the Banff Competition.
A past recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, the quartet was the grand and first prize winner at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, and major prizewinner at the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition. The ensemble currently holds the faculty position as the inaugural Penelope P. Watkins Ensemble in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music.
In March 2021, the Dover Quartet made its VC Vanguard Concert Concerts debut, performing works by Beethoven and Dvořák.
