The Philadelphia Orchestra has announced the appointment of violinist Christine Lim to the ensemble’s 2nd violin section
The Philadelphia Orchestra has this week announced the appointment of 24-year-old South Korean-born violinist Christine Lim to the ensemble’s 2nd violin section.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Ida Kavafian, and current post graduate student of Soovin Kim and Paul Biss at the New England Conservatory, Christine is a former major prize winner at the Menuhin and Kloster Schöntal International Violin Competitions.
She will replace violinist Mei Ching Huang - who will move to the ensemble's 1st violin section.
