Happy Birthday, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider!

The 23/24 season marks his fourth as Music Director of the Orchestre National de Lyon, a partnership that has already been extended until 26/27.

Today is Danish violin virtuoso and conductor Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider's 48th birthday!

A student of Boris Kuschnir and Dorothy DeLay, Szeps-Znaider is a former first prize winner at the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition and Carl Nielsen International Music Competition — the latter of which he currently serves as president.

He performs and records regularly with many of the world's leading orchestra and conductors.

Szeps-Znaider has also conducted several prominent orchestras including the Chicago Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra.
