It has been announced today that German violin soloist David Garrett has cancelled a number of upcoming performances - due to a herniated disc in his back.
"We’re terribly sorry to inform you that David has suffered a slipped disc and thus has to cancel his upcoming concerts in Parma, Graz, Lucerne, Kiev and Sofia ..." a statement on the 37 year old's website has said.
"We’re sure you’ll understand that David’s health is our top priority at this point ... luckily, the doctors expect a full recovery," his management has said.
David is expected to resume his tour in Paris on February 12.
