The Minnesota Orchestra has today announced the appointment of American violinist Felicity James as its new Associate Concertmaster - effective from December of this year.
A graduate of the Coburn School, where she studied with Robert Lipsett, Felicity has previously served as Concertmaster of the Verbier Festival Orchestra, the Colburn School Orchestra and the Aspen Philharmonic - and has performed as a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Seattle Symphony.

“We are very excited for Felicity to begin her new role as Associate Concertmaster ... and we are confident that she will be a huge asset to the first violin section and the Orchestra as a whole ..." Minnesota Orchestra Concertmaster Erin Keefe has said.
"She is a beautiful violinist and musician who impressed the audition committee with her incredible poise as a leader,” she has said.
Felicity will replace violinist Roger Frisch - who will retire from the ensemble after 35 years of service.
