SAD NEWS | Korean-born Violin Virtuoso Ik-Hwan Bae Has Died – Aged 58

South Korean-born American concert violinist Ik-Hwan Bae has passed away – aged 58.

A student of Ivan Galamian at the Juilliard School, Mr Bae was a former prize winner at the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition.

He held teaching positions at the Peabody Institute, Manhattan School of Music, Jacobs School of Music and the Korean National Institute for the Arts - and had served on the jury of a number of prominent international violin competitions.

Our condolences are with his family, friends and colleagues.
