Today is VC Artist Inmo Yang's 29th Birthday!
Yang is a major prizewinner at the Joseph Joachim, Tchaikovsky, Menuhin, and Kloster Schontal International Violin Competitions
Violinist Inmo Yang studied with Namyoon Kim at the Korea National University of Arts, Miriam Fried at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, and Antje Weithaas at Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. Currently, he continues his studies with Weitaas at the Kronberg Academy.
Inmo is a former major prize winner at the Sibelius (2022), Menuhin (2014), Munetsugu Angel (2013) Joseph Joachim (2012), Tchaikovsky (2009), and Kloster Schontal (2022) International Violin Competitions — and was awarded a highly acclaimed first prize at the 2015 Paganini International Violin Competition.
This 2023/24 season will see him perform various concerts in Finland, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates, performing Bruch's Violin Concerto, Sibelius' Violin Concerto, and Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 amongst other works.
In previous years Inmo has performed with the NDR Radiophilharmonie, Russian Symphony Orchestra, Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Austin Symphony Orchestra, Boston Classical Orchestra, Longwood Symphony Orchestra, Danish National Symphony, KBS Symphony Orchestra, and the Korean Symphony Orchestra
Yang plays on the c. 1718 “Bostonian” Stradivarius, loaned from a private donor.
