Germany's Freiburg Philharmonic Announces New 1st Concertmaster

The Freiburg Philharmonic has announced the appointment of Uzbekistani-born violinist Maria Azova as its new 1st Concertmaster

The Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra, in Freiburg, Germany has this week announced the appointment of 35-year-old Uzbekistani-born violinist Maria Azova as its new 1st Concertmaster - effective immediately.

A former student of Josef Rissin at the Karlsruhe School of Music, Maria is a former major prize winner at the Henryk Szeryng International Violin Competition.

She is a former scholarship recipient from the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation and LiveMusicNow - and has appeared as a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de México and the Baden-Baden Philharmonic.
