NEW MUSIC TUESDAY | Vykintas Baltakas - ‘Recitative’ for Violin and Piano [VIDEO]

18 year old American/Dutch VC ‘Young Artist’ Stephen Waarts and pianist Thomas Hoppe performing composer Vykintas Baltakas’ newly-premiered work ‘Recitative’ for Violin and Piano.

A composition student of Wolfgang Rim and Peter Ottos, at the Music Academy in Karlsruhe and the Hungarian Composer’s International Institute, Baltakas has worked and conducted a number of distinguished international orchestras - including the Bavarian Radio Symphony, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchestra Berlin and the Berlin Radio Symphony.

‘Recitative’ was selected as the Semi-Finalists’ set work at the 2015 Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition.
