Boston Symphony Orchestra Appoints 4 New String Players
The Boston Symphony has announced the appointment of violinist Bracha Malkin - and violists Rebekah Edwards, Leah Ferguson and Danny Kim.
The Boston Symphony Orchestra has today announced the appointment of violinist Bracha Malkin - and violists Rebekah Edwards, Leah Ferguson and Danny Kim.
A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Curtis Institute of Music, Indiana University and the Maastricht Conservatory, where she studied with Issac Malkin, Aaron Rosand, Miriam Fried and Boris Belkin, Bracha is a former prize winner at the Wieniawski and Paganini International Violin Competitions.
A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Mark Jacobs and Linda Cerone, Rebekah has served positions with the Baltimore Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra and the Charlotte Symphony.
A graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music and the Juilliard School, where she studied with Robert Vernon, Heidi Castleman and Cynthia Phelps, Leah has performed with ensembles including the Chicago Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and The Juilliard School, where he studied with Sally Chisholm and Samuel Rhodes, Danny has performed with ensembles including the Metropolis Ensemble, New York Classical Players and the Camerata Virtuosi New Jersey.
