Los Angeles Philharmonic Announce New Assistant Conductor
The Los Angeles Philharmonic has announced the appointment of Chilean conductor Paolo Bortolameolli as their new Assistant Conductor
The Los Angeles Philharmonic has this week announced the appointment of former Dudamel Conducting Fellow, Chilean conductor Paolo Bortolameolli as their new Assistant Conductor - for the 2017/18 season.
He will served as cover conductor to Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel - and will be invited to guest conduct a number of performances throughout the season.
A graduate of the Yale School of Music and the Peabody Institute, Paolo is a former assistant to conductor Marin Alsop at the Baltimore Symphony.
The LA Philharmonic has also announced the new 2017/18 Dudamel Conducting Fellows as Tianyi Lu from New Zealand, Ruth Reinhardt from Germany and Jonathon Hayward from the United States.
