Musical America Announces 2021 Artists of the Year

The three "Artists of the Year" are Jamie Barton, Julia Bullock, and Beth Morrison

Musical America Worldwide, in New York are honoring the three women as "Agents of Change" because they are "unafraid to shake up the status quo and expand the field’s perspectives to broader and brighter horizons."

Mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton advocates for better representation in the opera world, for people of all races, backgrounds, abilities, and sizes.

Soprano Julia Bullock continues to fight social injustice on and off the stage throughout her career.

Producer Beth Morrison's Beth Morrison Projects has commissioned multiple new works by rising composers, specializing in small-scale productions with multi-racial casts.
