10-year-old Australian violinist Christian Li performing South Korean composer Jaehyuck Choi's newly-premiered work 'Self in Mind' for solo violin.
"Through Self in Mind, I tried to capture the sound of one's thoughts ... what would it sound like when a thought or stream of thoughts are going through one's mind?" the 23-year-old 2018 Geneva International Composition Competition 1st prize winner has said.
"This simple question is answered through this composition," he has said.
The 4-minute virtuoso solo work was commissioned for the junior division final round of the 2018 Menuhin Competition.
