American violinist Tessa Lark has in recent years firmly established herself as one of the new generation’s most outstanding young string virtuosi

28-year-old American violinist, Tessa Lark has in recent years firmly established herself as one of the new generation's most outstanding young string virtuosi.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory, where she studied with respected pedagogues Miriam Fried and Lucy Chapman, Tessa recently completed ‘Artistic Diploma’ at New York’s Juilliard School with Sylvia Rosenberg and Ida Kavafian.

She is a former major prize winner at the Indianapolis, Michael Hill and Naumburg International Violin Competitions. She is also a recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant and a Leonore Annenberg Fellowship - and was recently awarded the 2018 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship.

Tessa’s recent debuts include concerto engagements with the Louisville Orchestra, South Carolina Philharmonic, Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra, and Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. In January of 2019, she will premiere Michael Torke's "Sky" Concerto - with the Albany Symphony Orchestra.

She has collaborated with such renowned artists as Mitsuko Uchida, Itzhak Perlman, Miriam Fried, Donald Weilerstein, Pamela Frank, Kim Kashkashian, Peter Wiley, and Ralph Kirshbaum

She currently performs on a 1600 Maggini – on generous loan from the Stradivari Society.
