23 year old American cellist Brannon Cho is quickly building an international reputation as an emerging young concert artist of outstanding potential

23 year old American cellist Brannon Cho is quickly building an international reputation as an emerging young concert artist of outstanding potential.

A graduate of Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music, where he studied with Hans Jørgen Jensen, and current Artist Diploma student of Laurence Lesser at the New England Conservatory, Brannon is a former major prize winner at the Naumburg, Cassadó and Johansen International Cello Competitions – and in June of last year, was awarded a prize at the inaugural Queen Elisabeth International Cello Competition, in Belgium.

His recent debuts include solo engagements with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonique Royale Liège and the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie - and chamber music collaborations with renowned artists, including Christian Tetzlaff, Gidon Kremer, Philip Setzer, Stephen Williamson and Joshua Bell.

Brannon currently performs on a 1668 Antonio Casini cello.
