German-born violinist and composer Adolf Busch was born on this day in 1891.
A student of Willy Hess and Bram Eldering, Maestro Busch was a founding member of the Vienna Konzertverein and the Busch String Quartets – and a founding partner of the Marlboro Music School and Festival.
His famed students included Erica Morini and Yehudi Menuhin.
