SAD NEWS | Shepherd School of Music Violin Professor Kenneth Goldsmith Has Died [RIP]

American violinist Kenneth Goldsmith has passed away

American violinist Kenneth Goldsmith has passed away.

A former 1st prize winner at the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and the Concert Artists Guild Competition, Mr Goldsmith performed as a long time member of the Mirecourt Trio - and had served on the violin and chamber music teaching faculty of Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music from 1991 until his recent retirement.

“Absolutely heartbroken to hear about the passing of Kenneth Goldsmith, our dearest mentor and supporter since the beginning of our quartet journey … his pure love for music cannot be expressed through words …” VC Artist Rolston Quartet have said today.

“Countless hours of inspiring coachings and musical discussions will never be forgotten … Mister G always inspired us to work hard and to never forget about the joy that music bring … he will always be our musical inspiration, a beautiful human being and most of all, an incredible musician and violinist,” they have said.
