Semi-finalists Announced at Britain’s Windsor Festival International String Competition

The 8 semi-finalists have today been announced at the 2015 Windsor Festival International String Competition, in England.

They are: violinists Elina Buksa from Latvia, Christian Grajner-Desa from the Britain and Ji Yoon Lee from South Korea, violists Timothy Ridout from Britain and Ting-Ru Lai from Taiwan and cellists Jonathan Dorman from the Britain, Stanislas Kim from France and Jeong Lee from South Korea.

The final round will take place at Windsor Guildhall and Windsor Castle from the 15th to the 21st of March – with the 1st prize winner to receive £5,000 (US $7500), a fine contemporary bow from Bishop Instruments and Bows, and a concerto performance with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
